Some time ago I commissioned Terry Forland @ Racecraft to build a street 2002 for me. It has been a long on-going project. But last Friday we reached a milestone. The shell and lids received a coat of beautiful Laguna Seca blue paint!

One of the big delays involved the flares we built for the car. We had a set of Schnitzel-Like box flares but they seemed too wide for what I wanted. So we built molds from the borrowed flares, made a set, and narrowed them down. I hope you agree that the work was well worth the results.

The car will have an S14 with 5 speed in it as well as a mildly re-worked suspension and brakes.

The NSU has been worked over by Jim & Terry @ Racecraft and will make its racing debut this coming weekend at the PNW vintage races at Seattle. One thing I wanted to do was pay homage to my Father's dealership so we did a graphics package that reflected his sponsorship of my early racing efforts in an NSU just like this car:

Both cars look great, I really like the narrowed flares on the 2002, and with the S14 engine.. Will be a fun car!

Love all of it.

S14...??? Nice That’s next on my project list...

I fell for the little NSU several years ago at a Vintage race at the F1 COTA track, here in Austin. I like the pig-cheek flares on your car though...It’s like a mini-2002.
