They were talking about this on the 2002 forum but just FYI, as far as I can tell, UPS is hardly shipping out of Germany.
I have an order from Jan 24th that cleared customs on Jan 27th and has been sitting in a container at the airport in Köln ever since. I get two updates per day from UPS saying "We are experiencing transit delays. We will deliver your package as soon as possible." I've spoken to them 3 times now to no avail. I can't open a claim because the stuff isn't "lost". I've also spoken to W&N, who are very nice but not helpful. I even offered to pay for a new order with expedited shipping but they won't do it. Their response: "We are sorry that there are problems with the delivery of your order(s). The US has drastically restricted landings of foreign planes due to Covid. Unfortunately we have no influence on this. All forwarders and parcel services are affected by these restrictions, not just UPS. Of course we are monitoring this matter and hope for a speedy recovery."
However, I'm not buying that because I had another order from Chris at CS Werk that was ordered on Jan 23rd and arrived last week (Feb 11th) via a combination of DHL and USPS.
Normally, I love UPS but they've really dropped the ball on this one. Anyone else seeing the same?
