US Cars to Europe

I took a look at one of the coupes this guy was selling, found it on UK ebay, or somewhere in Europe - not listed for sale on any US sites that I could find. He's located in Miami, so he's not even in SoCal - probably ships out of SoFla as well. The cars are stored at the shippers location in Paramount (east of LA) and while I can't vouch for this car, the one I saw was a real POS for the money he was asking.....

The good news is you can PPI the car if you're down this way, but it involves a bunch of hoops to jump through. I've been through one rodeo with this seller so I'll pass...

Here is another one imported from the US to the UK. Maybe someone knows about this sunny Californian car.

Oh - and whilst we're on about prices, take a look at this. Michael York and Gaz Coombes with documentation of Savoy Hotel notepaper.

I am trying to think of who is famous enough for me to say they once owned my car to inflate its value. Current favourite is Mother Teresa of Calcutta - "lady owner, dry climate", but given the other post here, I am seriously considering Idid Amin for notoriety value. Any others?

I would not go with Mother T. given India's monsoon season growing ever longer with climate change. I'll bet even the humidity in India would rust a coupe.

How about the Duke and Duchess of Windsor. He liked many things German so BMW is the perfect choice.

The seller of the original post certainly spent a lot of time and money getting good photography!!! He/she also proof reads well. Those two alone make the car worth SO much more than it was when in Alaska.

The ebay coupe in Dorchester was the one I saw in SoCal. Maybe they go for a big premium in the UK. His asking price is over $30K USD. I couldn't start the car when it was here, I would be desperate to offer $10K US for that car. Bad body, crapped interior, just an FYI for the Brits here
