Value in keeping original parts?

Random-ish question: In an effort to save garage space and de-clutter, I'm thinking of selling my original wheels/caps on my 2800CS as well as the original steering wheel that was refinished. I'm not sure of the market value of either, but it's more of a space is issue. Question: any TRUE value-add in keeping them with my car for provenance reasons, or just let them go if I have no sentimental care/need for them? My intention is not to sell the car, rather keep it until i'm expired, so the 'historical' value doesn't mean much to me (and I may have just answered my own question just now), but curious how others view keeping original wheel, tires, or any other centerpiece parts they've upgraded?

Thanks!

Look at it another way... How much could you reasonably hope to get for those parts?

That may resolve whether you should keep what you have, compared to some estimate of what you might spend to re-acquire them "later".

I'd keep em, but then gain I am a pack rat and have a Corvair engine under my porch that was buried in my previous home's backyard.

I keep everything that came original to the car even though I too hope to never have to sell. But +1 on what Honolulu says - you may not want them now but maybe later you change your mind and then you have to hunt them down. I thought I'd never swap out my Petri steering wheel but now I am revarnishing an old wood Nardi to put in it's place (but hanging on to it just in case of course). Things change.

Odd to think that red screwdriver that y'all talk about is likely more valuable than my wheels+steering wheel. I'll keep both unless someone makes me an offer that I can't refuse...

Don't go by the price you see on eBay, those $325 screwdrivers have been there for about a year!
