the best system i know for a thread repair maintaining the bolt size

you probably know HELICOIL or similar, but this is better, you will build a new thread with a solid insert without affecting too much thickness of the damaged solid

only con´s: very expensive !

problem damaged thread in engine head

protect the area

remove old damaged thread

new thread

insert

special tool for adapting the insert to the head, and finalising the thread

and that is all

ups, now i realized that timesert is a brand itself, so probably the european firm wurth has bought the right to sell it under the wurth name ?
