Is the wood cracked? If not I will take it,
if you can post a photo of eventual cracks, I would appreciate it.
Please pm contact if you like.

Alberto

Dear Joe,
Received the wheels.
Thank you! Am very glad with them.
On the Personal, where does it say "Personal Collaudo" ?

Best regards, Alberto

It is definitely a Personal steering wheel.
Personal made various steering wheels without the Personal stamp and was the only company which used this design back then.
It's a pretty rare one, it has a light stripe in the wood. Once restored it would look like this;

B.T.W. 'Collaudo' stand for 'technical tested' or 'checked'. It's an inspection stamp. Some steering wheels have the stamp, others haven't.

Here's a link to some photos of my steering wheel. Mine was made '68. The colluado stamp is just above the date stamp.

Thank you for the explanation.
The seller said the mark "collaudo" was present, yet not there.
Regards,
Alberto

PS. yours has the Personal stamp up front, mine does not.

I understand that steering wheels are a matter of personal taste. I remember when I was searching, I discovered many different variants
even within the same manufacturer:

Here is a Personal "Autostrada" Steering wheel (9/1965) that has triangular design elements similar to Nardi Steering wheels:

Curiously... here is a 2nd Personal "Autostrada" Steering wheel (5/1966) with a spoke pattern nearly identical to the Collaudo:

Thank you for posting the photo... I am constantly amazed at the expertise on this site and the individuals who take the time to share their knowledge.

Now you have me wondering if I should use an Autostrada or Collaudo steering wheel in my build....
