VW Bettle People

Anybody here know anything about the world of people who are into VW bettles?

Here in SC, a handful of us were in the process of starting up a Cars N Coffee. One of the guys in this little group had a VW shop in Atlanta before he retired. Alas, VW guy died suddenly a few weeks ago. And as with many car guys, he has a stash of valuable vintage VW parts. So our little Cars N Coffee group is going to try to help his widow sell his car stuff.

Does anyone here know people I might tap into in the VW bug world? Feel free to post info here or to send me a private message.

Sorry to hear. @bimbill & team helped coordinate a 2002 effort in Seattle for similar circumstances. If he is around perhaps he can speak to the process. I know that a team went in to organize and value the parts. They sent out a fairly large notice, and attendance was quite significant. Not sure how they handled the leftovers.

Just thinking about level of haggling at a VW swap meet makes me thankful to be dealing with e9 parts.
