W&N exhaust

I treated the rear muffler mounting as a seperate exercise, its position being critical to getting the tailpipe right. Being a 2800cs, the mounting tabs on the body are closer together than 3.0 I suspect, which this system is designed for. I hung it from 2 reinforced rubber strips which ended up at about 20-30 degrees splayed out. I welded a tab to the tail pipe, felt it needed support to avoid swinging around. Then adjusted the tail pipe to fit round the spare wheel well. The sealing ring allows quite a range of adjustment without leaking. The down pipes don't end up central to the body, about 30-40mm to the right, but using a transmission jack to hold the centre muffler in its best position and height, and finessing the distance the pipes penetrate at the downpipes and the rear muffler, it all came together nicely. The flange joint between muffler and resonator also allows a wide range of adjustment without leaking.

Single tab under body to hold the fiber strap and then to round clamp for all models, same as muffler tabs. I don’t think center resonator sits directly under driveshaft and doesn’t need to either, whatever fits best works.

I’ve been dragging my small center can as well. BTW, Larini, Fritz, Walloth are all the same systems so buy based on total cost with shipping.
For Fritz to send to Aus nearly doubled the price of the system, Walloth still have a reasonable fixed price to here, comes via the U.S.

That is still insanely low exhaust.

Anyone run an exhaust with just a y-pipe and straight pipe along that driveshaft, but with the rear resonators still? Wonder how loud it'd be.
Yes, I have a two into one pipe at approx the gearbox, then straight pipe down the centre, then massive rear box. All made from stainless.
Yes it’s loud and I would prefer if it was quieter, but I like quiet cars - nothing about mine is quiet, engine, wind etc.
If I rev it out then passengers all get upset. I use ear plugs on the motorway, but A and B roads are ok.
Just fitted a five speed which I hope will make it quieter on motorways.

Chris/Stan, which cars had the additional resonator between the front resonator and rear muffler? I ask cause I bought 1/2 of Stan's original system and he now has this, but his original setup did not (or at least he never showed me).

pnwe9: Do you have the "T" support for the down pipes, not in any images you posted, unit looks low starting at that point. Easy enough to make.

There are universal exhaust hangers which can be cut to fit almost any scenario.

Assume that is the U.S. 3.0 CS since my Euro 3.0CS did not have the center can.

Mine does not have the "T" support. My car has a 5 speed manual so it makes sense that it doesn't have the original 4 speed bracket. I have all of those parts so I'll see if I can make it work.
