A bit of free advertising for our German friends at W&N!

I was looking at these and trying to work out where they would fit, how they would be fitted, etc. I was expecting something more like you see on a modern car, that covers the whole of the space inside the front wing/ fender, around the wheel... you know the ones, large and unwieldy bits of plastic held on by a load of small screws

thoughts?

because I was not aware of them!!

a quick Google later

for a comparable price to the W&N option, and the Lokari ones look to be more like I was expecting inner wing liners to look.

I'm just interested in opinions really, I'm not 100% sold that these are necessary or a good idea. Certainly the small metal panel at the rear of the front wheel arch seems to be a dirt trap as well as a protector. Fitting a more comprehensive liner might just mean a more comprehensive dirt trap

That’s part of the A pillar structure. If you go thru the restoration pics you’ll see where it’s welded on. There are a few different pieces that constitute the A pillar structure and this is one of those.

The Lokari‘s have nothing to do with the structure, rather to keep dirt away from the inner front wheelwells.

ah, all ist klar, thanks Keshav

W&N describe their option as "inner wheelhousing cover", the word "cover" might be considered mis-leading for a piece of the A-pillar structural steel.

cheers

There's an old Lokari thread around here someplace if you search long enough. I've got a set, they fit well if you take your time installing them. Don't know how they work, I've never removed them for inspection but so far no rust bubbling up on the fenders
