W&N - new production of rear lights

Hmm... $368.50 per side excluding VAT at this morning's exchange rate (plus shipping, tariffs, yadda yadda). It's tempting.
well that will drop the price of ebay sellers of lights in crappy condition ... but it is tempting, especially with the 20 euro discount for orders over 200 euro ... oh yeah, plus 49 euro shipping plus 52% tariff.
that being said, that's a lot less than 1149 from MVP. this is likely going to dip into their new product sales. not to mention what tariffs do to them. makes me wonder if W+N has sourced these lenses from them, or if they had somebody else make them.

that thought occurred to me too ... but i wasn't in the mood to announce that thought.
.....it's not 20% discount but 20€!
oops, my bad ... i corrected my post. that's what i get for writing a post before i had my morning tea (caffeine)
Perhaps someone wants to keep the original frame...
you know, if everything is good, except one of the lenses develops a crack ... then Stan's option is a more affordable one than replacing the whole piece.

Referring to the rear taillight offers from W&N (around €860) and MVP (around €980), I can confidently say that my rear taillight set priced at €1,290 is the best value because:
I also offer just the lens frames with lenses only, without the bulb housings.

- The chrome plating is applied over a copper base, which is the highest-quality type of chrome.
- The lenses feature BMW and Hella logos.

What a luxury position we have, with lenses through @Stan, and new frames from both W&N / MVP and the wonderfull "full service" solution from @mariuszmycz !
Yes, production volume will likely suffer a bit per producer, but as were all e9 enthousiasts, it's good to know that now various solutions exist for those with a broken lens, a flaky chrome frame on a nice daily driver or those of us building a trailer queen.

Bought the W&N set. Lens have have all necessary markings (e code, DOT) but not BMW or Hella stamping. The reflectors inside the lens aren’t the same as oem (darker not as reflective) Aftermarket part number cast into lens
Chrome plating has slight blemishes when seen in strong light up close. Not evident from 2 feet away. Will post photos soon.

I presume the chrome is spray applied, it is a cheaper solution.
My frames are immersion chrome plated, the chrome being on a copper substrate.
This results in :
The frames are chrome-plated using the immersion (electroplating) method. This allows us to achieve:
✔ A deep mirror-like finish and an elegant appearance
✔ A durable, dense coating with high corrosion resistance
✔ Better adhesion and longer chrome lifespan
✔ Perfect smoothness and a uniform layer over the entire surface

W&N set is MVP. Cast into lens. For our needs this set was the best option to date, one side had two cracked lenses and other side had pitting in chrome. I wish someone made new housings (backing) as the plastic is old, spent a LOT of time cleaning, sanding and polishing to bring it back to acceptable levels.

Probably concerned about trademark issues so did not use BMW or Hella. But Walloth should show and/or disclose the MVP markings.
Surprisingly good quality
