Lots of cool wagons at BMW Invasion of LA today
Oh man, bummed to have missed this!Lots of cool wagons at BMW Invasion of LA today
I hear that, hard to cross shop against what is currently on the market since BMW won't give us wagons anymore. For what it's worth, I would suggest checking out the current Volvo V60 and V90 lineup-- wether plugin hybrid, ICE, they look better than they should, all the safety tech, and will be around when it's just the cockroaches. My wife is bugging me for a new vehicle. I loath SUVs but she is talking Tesla Model Y, Mach-e, Ioniq 5, etc. I built a spreadsheet comparing cargo space (seats up and folded) of our current MB e350 wagon to the candidate SUVs and none can hold a candle to the capacity of the wagon. Wagon also has a lower height and roof rack rails for my Yakima system. No comparison. Of course, I'll still lose the argument....
I did change the wheels on the car itself as the 2012 rims were cracked and had been weld repaired already, so I just went ahead and put a 2015 set on instead, there seems to be more metal on them or something as thankfully I have not had any cracks since , plus I think they look nicer and still factory. My daily is an F11
She’s a 5 speed manual.
I love it to bits , it is so versatile.
She drives just like a nice 5 series should and then when I need a van to collect more parts for my e9 , put down the back seats and your sorted.
Happy wife equals Happy life !My wife HATED my F82 M4,the ride was too rough. When it got totaled I wanted to replace it with a daily driver that had performance and would be great for road trips. I looked hard at the X5 but many people that owned them had replaced them with Porsche Cayenne. I ended up getting a Cayenne and am VERY happy with it and more importantly the wife LOVES it.
Spreadsheet...really...to make a point with a spouse..? I learned a loooong time ago, not the way to go. But I am sure the guys here would love to see the data!My wife is bugging me for a new vehicle.
