I just hope mine will be as nice when it is finished.

He will have me beat on the engine for sure as his is new, you can never get there with an old one.

And Wally went for 100% originality while I have the usual mods on mine.

The nicest car in Indonesia!! Looks like all the details were taken care of.
Question; Who were the carpets sourced from?
Congratulations Wally.

Not just the nicest in Indonesia. One of the nicest anywhere! Lovely Wally!
PS: Did I send you a badge or was it the other Coupe owner in Indonesia? If there is another.

Stunning, are there roads up to the "Copper Mountain"? I bet the scenery would rival the beauty of your coupe (a little), I think you should post some scenic shots for us poor city dwellers. Congratulations on a job excellently executed!

Very nice and extremeley clean, looks great. Didn't know any CS coupes came with the wood dash like the 2000 CS, that makes the interior especially nice.

Congratulations Wally.

Car looks amazing. Now given Jakarta traffic let's hope there is a quite weekend soon to let her run.

Oh...and carpets look great. Are they original or were you able to source there?

Love to see her when there later this month.

Best,

John

Wow

The car is amazing ! Only on problem I found was the steering wheel is on the wrong side ;-))))

Bill, "R" in "RHD" is for "Right"..."L" is for "Left " ...as in "I'm a progressive socialist driving a capitalist's car " :-P

We here in Perth are hoping Wally will bring the red "Jakarta Car" to OZ ...to keep his Inka CSL company .

Hey Wally, dont forget to pack my chrome trim on Sunday ! ....and that Alpina engine you promised me !

Cheers,Simon

Great looking restoration - well done.

The RHD cars have the wooden capping on the dash tops. It seems the UK crash protection was more relaxed than the German or US markets.

Here is a pic of my RHD interior - with wooden dash capping.

Cheers,

Rod

Hi guys Happy New Year,

Thanks for your compliments, I really appreciate all the comments.
It took me two years to finished my project and enjoyed every minute of it and it gave great enjoyable moment when I take it for a ride!

The wooden centre console was there when I got the car, then refurbished all the dash and wooden parts.

The carpet from Germany, www.cabrio.de.

Best regards,
Wally

Yes I received the badge, still thinking where to put in CS or CSL

hi wally, congrats !
what type of carpet did you buy from them ?
what was your impression when compared to original ?
any comments about fitting ? was it the correct shape ?
did you buy the glue, sound deadening, etc from them ?

thanks !

Thanks DQ

The type is DB 2 tone loop dark blue. The good thing is they willing to make the RHD version.
After seeing the original, I think the carpet quality is near or almost the same with the original, good material quality and well stitched even the shape is original.
The installation was pretty easy, no glue, that was the instruction, the material is flexible. I installed dynamat extreme for the base then dynapad that sourced from Australia.
