WTB the following items for my 72 coupe.

Wiper arms with tight (no play) pivot pins. I don’t care about the finish, I’m going to paint them black anyway, just need tight ones.


Left front amber turn signal lens.


A black side grille (behind the wheel) for the right fender.


A door map pocket with working spring hinge, would love brown but will consider other colors.


The trim that covers the seat tracks for both front seats.


The big stock steering wheel with good to excellent leather. I guess because I drove tow trucks so much the big so called bus wheel feels fine to me. Heck, I would even take a nice Bavaria wheel if someone can tell me where to buy a tight fitting leather cover. Sorry, I’m not interested in a wood wheel, I love the look but prefer the grip of a leather wheel.


I have all the above in poor condition, I’m looking for parts in nice to excellent condition :). Thank you ~ John Buchtenkirch

what about the Nardi leather wheel? it comes in 390mm (approx. 15.5") and your choice of black, polished or aluminum finished spokes w/ black leather.
 
Question: Did the bus wheel for the coupes come in leather? Thought there was just the standard and optional wood wheels.

The seat track covers are very hard to find as they are plastic and break easily, maybe someone here has some or you can find them on an e3. Used side grilles usually have broken mounting pins so not of much use. Good luck with your search.

Chris, good question. Both my 72 and the mint 73 I looked at in Egg Harbor, NJ had padded wheels covered with leather or pretty good fake leather. Don’t know if it was the real thing or not. My 72 wheel is pretty bad but still useable, there are cracks in the plastic spokes, the foam bound to the rim is broken in spots and the covering is pretty bad too. I have a smaller leather wheel I could use but would rather have the stock wheel. I guess for me it’s kind of a nostalgic thing, I remember that big wheel in my Bavaria (with the after market leather cover) back in the day with found memories. Some 30 years later I sat in that 73 down in Egg Harbor and that big wheel brought me right back, even if it was for only a few moments. The Bavaria & coupe wheels remind me of the very popular 57 Ford wheels that were used in stock cars & modifies years ago with padded centers added. Thanks for your input on the other parts, there’s always new or just use what I have --- been spending lots of coupe $$$ lately :shock::eek::shock:. ~ John Buchtenkirch

P.S. Maybe I'll just make up the track covers in stainless.

I've got a "bus wheel" in pretty good condition that was taken off my car about 6 months ago since I am replacing with a wood wheel. You can have it for the cost of shipping. Not sure it's perfect but will follow up once I can dig it out.
 
Several months back, someone was selling several sets of metal track covers he had made. Must be someone on this board. That's one of the parts I regret not buying when I had a chance.
