New to forum as I just discovered the 3.0 and similar body styles from BMW. Beautiful cars! It seems these cars are hard to find and the process of making the right purchase ( so many variables )can be difficult without the knowlege you guys have. Would like to make a purchase and hope some of the members can help a newbie and "steer " me in the right direction or to the right car....Thanks

The main thing is not to buy a car with rust and structural problems. The mechanical stuff is straightforward. The trim can be expensive. I'd suggest buying a good car will be cheaper than getting a deal on one that is in need of work. I'm a non owner too.
