Looking for a rebuildable or verifiable quality rebuilt 4 speed trans to fit an E9. Will also need the 4spd driveshaft so I can back-date this car to the correct components.

I'm not sure of the serial number ranges but the rest of the date codes on the car are in '71. Does anyone know what range I should be looking for?

Don't think you will find date codes on a trans. The 2800CS used the ZF and the 3.0CS used the Getrag, they look very different.

I am in contact with a gentleman now who I believe has what you want. If you give me your email address I will have him contact you if you want me to.

Thanks Chris for the reply. Looks like I'll need the Getrag. This is our first E9 restoration so there's a bit of a learning curve and appreciate your input.
