Pamp... I do not own a Bentley and $1,500 for a bumper that I might not use is not me

Pamp,
It seems like you are trying to insult me? Why??? Did I do something wrong?

If I offended you I am sorry if not... Please be nice to people that you have absolutely no idea about!

For the record... I do not own a Bentley! And I am not a "Big Shot Hollywood Producer"... " Are you "persona non gratis?"... you ask? As far as I know I have offended no one! And who the hell is jrann? I am not sure where all this is coming from?

Also I recently bought a perfect and complete 1973 front bumper on ebay for $175... So the BMW parts specialists price I was quoted of $1,200-1,500 each bumper is fair but not me... There is also a very good chance that I will never use the bumpers and do not want to spend big money on parts that will just hang in the rafters....

I keep seeing complete and sometimes running rusty E9s listed for sale at $1,500-3000 so it is very likely that there are numerous rear bumpers lying around...

I also looked at a Euro rear bumper locally last week that was OK but the chrome was a little weak.

Does the US bumper have the holes for the license lights?

All US bumpers have holes for license plate lights, on the `73 it is covered with small plastic chrome covers as lights were moved to tail panel. The `73 rear bumper is mounted with a hoop to the body and may need some work to mount it to the earlier short mounts.

Finally! a very nice complete rear bumper.. WTB plastic plugs to fill the holes

Finally got very lucky and scored an excellent pair of complete chrome bumpers!

They might be going on a 1974 with license lights on the rear body panel... Dont want to have 4 license lights on one car!

Anyone have the chrome plastic plugs to fill the license light holes on the rear bumper?

Four license lights. All the better for the Law to read your plate as you dragrace the Bently with Jack and Anjelica in the back seat down Sunset Blvd.

Lights

On mine I used the lamps strictly as filler and did not wire them up. Saw some of these on dabay the other day...

Oneills... How offensive! Jack and Angelica are OLD!!!

Jack and Angelica I think not...

Now if I were to consider braking the law (which I never do in my SL65 AMG:-D)

It would be with Angelina and Pamela...

PS

In 1994 Pam was my next door neighbor for a few months:)...

They are plastic and held on the back by two posts with a spring clip, pic below is not great but the garage was dark. I think I put a bit of Strip Caulk on the backs.

I found mine five years ago on eBay and have never seen any since. I think the posts probably break and they get thrown away.
