Wanted: E9 restored to high standard

I'm trying to help a friend find an E9 that has been throughly sorted and restored to a high standard. Dark colors (blue, black, grey) are preferred. Tasteful resto-mods and subtle performance upgrades are appreciated. Body and paint work must be extremely nice with no rust. Chips and signs of use since a restoration are fine but excellent prep work and a high standard in the initial restoration is key. Proximity to Southern California is a plus. Thanks.

I have a dark Blue E9 exactly as you describe...

I have a Dark Blue E9 exactly like you describe... An Original Calif car with no rust, a Sunroof with a 4 Speed. Excellent Paint, Leather and Wood... Upgraded with Webers.

Malibu has not fallen into the Pacific Ocean (yet) and is still in So Cal...

Thats a beautiful car, First time I saw dark burlwood on an E9. The tool kit even has spark plugs!!! The car just looks orgional like a time warp. BTW love that steering wheel and shift knob

Slightly off topic, but can anyone recommend a knowledgeable, trustworthy mechanic more in the Santa Monica, Beverly Hills or Hollywood area? All the top guys seem to be much further south in LA.
