I am being driven batty by what started as a simple brake bleeding and has turned into three weeks and counting of downtime, a new caliper that won’t stop leaking through the threads of the bleeder screws, having to buy and bend new hard lines, etc. etc.

So I am once again looking for a good right front caliper for an E12 with a ~23mm rotor. My understanding is that they are the same as E3/E9 calipers except for having a spacer in the middle to make them wide enough for the vented rotors that E12s have.

There are significant differences between the pre-76 and post-76 M30 vented calipers. The post-76 calipers are wider, heavier and require thicker pads. I have some of both in working order. You probably want to use the later version so that you can use the same thicknesx brake pads, though both kinds use the same hydraulics.

Sorry, I forgot to specify the year of my car. It’s a ‘78, so I need the later, larger calipers. I’m looking for a plug and play replacement. I’m on a deadline to get maintenance done on this car before a rally and the stupid brakes are sucking up all my time.
