I pulled my current lock/cylinder and it’s at Santa Monica Lock and Safe. Blaine is not sure that he can repair it since it looks like PO removed some portion of it that prevents the key from just spinning past its endpoint. If I can find a new tumbler he can rekey it to my key. I’m including a photo of my current setup since I know there are short and long tumblers. Hoping someone has one for sale in case mine is unrepairable

Let me comment on this:
- there are two versions, the early short one and the later long one

- yours seems to be the early short version
- there is a spring on the lock. Pressing down this spring you may pull out the tumbler20251219_071359.jpg
- the early version is still easy to find. One without a key would about 100€
- the long ones often have an issue on the rocker. Either it's broken or worn so that the steering wheel gets locked with the key in 0-position but still inserted.20251219_072729.jpg
That's why good long tumblers are harder to find and expensive
- you may obtain a short tumbler from me or
- you may send your key and my locksmith would arrange a matching set. Recoding a lock to your key would be about 50€
- shipping to the US by DHL tracked/insured would be 27€
- shipments declared as a present with a value not more than 100€ would not get imposed by tariffs
