I need a replacement door brake for the passenger side of a left hand drive car or drivers side of a right hand drive car. Could be new, reconditioned or used but in good condition. Have a new pin. Outdoor accept two if you have them.

I have what appears to be an E3 door brake, stamped E3-1 800 147.3, in working, albeit grubby, condition. If you are prepared to do some research you may find out if it is compatible.

Thanks Gazz. I think that might test the limits of my ability with that one. I wouldn't even know where to start. Thanks for the suggestion but I might try to find one that I know fits to start with...

I used Mercedes parts which are cheaper and stronger. If you are going for original, I will take a look. I think that one of mine was fine but I replaced the two.

I have a good used one from my right side door (LHD car). Shipping cost to Sydney would probably be quite high, as it is heavy, but small. Let me know if you want me to dig it up and take a pix. I'll need your direct email if you want the pix {via P M (Conversation here!)}. I'll price it after we have that transaction and I explore the shipping cost.

That's very generous. They look very good. Can I ask are they used? What condition. How can I transfer funds to you?

They are- used. That’s why there’s is paint on them. I pull them out of cars and replace with newer versions.
Pay the forum or pay gazz for mailing.
Fair warning- they are lousy pot metal!

OK. For $25 I can take the risk. I hope at least one is usable. They look ok. I don't suppose you know how good or bad they are. I know they were never very good. They were aluminium I believe. Do you mean contribute $US25 to the forum? I'll pay Gazz the postage to Sydney unless we organise something else. Is that satisfactory? Or would you rather I pay Gazz towards his shipping costs?

I am working this also and went with the MB (copies)
The spring is what was broken on one of mine
I figured an old used one has a good chance of breaking if the old ones broke 20 years ago
The repo MB ones are very inexpensive
