washers under the front rail on the seats to improve comfort

I have seen a couple mentions about placing washers under the front rail on the seats to improve comfort

Seems straight forward, but any tips?

What thickness did you add? Did it make a difference?

Just buy a 1” sleeve that fits an M6 bolt, if existing bolt is 15mm then buy a 40mm bolt. It goes between seat and upper seat rail.

so the seat is raised a full inch? I assume if makes a difference or you wouldn't do it

Raise any amount you need, I am 6’5” with long legs, start with 1/2”.
