Hi

Has anyone got a CS with a Webasto fitted with the wind deflector ?

If so could you post some pictures so I can see where it should mount and what it looks like installed as I have a brand new one to fit but not yet done so.

Does it reduce the headroom in the car much when fitted ?

Thanks

Thanks Neil

That will be really helpful to me, do you find the following

  • you lose much headroom ( I'm 6' 4" so cannot afford to lose much)
  • Is it effective at reducing wind noise and buffeting when roof is open at high speed ?
  • Does it interfere with sun visor operation ? did you have to move these to allow fitment ?
Thanks

Here are the pictures of mine.
There is an interference between the sunshades and deflector, so when the deflector is not in use it is difficult to fully P9070767.jpg

That is strange, when I open the sunroof is mostly because I want to get fresh air in my face and a bit of the motorcycle feel. I would have a deflector mounted towards the driver.

Thanks Cornishman

As I said mine is not yet fitted and still in its wrapper / protector however from memory when I unwrapped it for a look, it seemed to be quite different in shape to your mine is profiled and has curve in it I think + the mounting is by 2 chromed brackets for sure !

I will have to have another look and take some pics of my own one and post when I get back home from work (spoils my leisure time this working !).

Mine was supplied as brand new though by RS Coach Builts (the sole supplier of the original Tudor Webasto now) along with my new Webasto so maybe designs have moved on

Fixed my interference issue.

My female passenger on the way to Goodwood told me how to fix my sunshield to wind deflector interference issue, it was really simple, so no doubt I will hear about it again. The sunshields fitted to my Coupe pivot from the door pillar side, so un-clip on the other end to allow them to screen the door window instead of the windscreen, think this is standard. These clips screw into the roof with a single screw, and the hole is not in the middle, so I rotated them to move them closer to the windscreen and hence further from the wind deflector. I expect that it was just installed incorrectly some years ago.
