If this guy can do this to a Bavaria just think what he could do to a Coupe!

I've always wanted to see a Coupe with a welded chain steering wheel, dingle balls and a fuzzy mirror! Forgot the lifts and skid plate!

Sorry coupe guys, I couldn't resist this thread. My Bavaria is in the garage highly upset at what this guy did to one of it's brothers!!

Other than the way it sits, that is a very pretty Bavaria.

Oh but he already has..........

As we like to say at C&C, "nothing to see here folks, just move along."

I just don't get it, what a waste of a nice Bav.

I like it, but then I like most older cars that has been shown enough love. Seems like it would be easy enough to remove the bags for the next owner if that wasn't their thing.

Way too much money for a Bav that needs serious work. For 13 large you can get a very nice original one and not have the headache of dismantling the air system and trying to find suspension parts.

Oh now, you guys....

Not my cup of tea either but I do respect the level of effort and more importantly, the passion these guys put into their cars and it is his car to do what he pleases. I also enjoy reading their articles.

Different strokes for different folks.

Been following the development of this car and each step I asked why? Agree with dQ and HB Chris.

+1 for passion, engineering, creativity

+1 from me, I wouldn't own it, nor "do it", and freedom of car-design is not policed

I get that part, to each his own. It's interesting to me that none of the real details of the build are cataloged in his videos, but we know that he changed the oil 1000 miles ago. I should be so diligent...

It’s not what I would do, but I respect anyone who spends their time and money to create what they like.
The same goes for music – Rap is not what I listen to but if that’s your thing, go for it.
If it’s too loud you’re too old or in this case, if it’s too low….

Both the E3 and the E9 look superb, but for me the E9 just looks awesome. It's different and clean and just nice looking. I've seen a fair few of what the English boys call RAT LOOK bmws and I must say, they can put more money into them in making them look rotten and rough than a resto project. A lot of the rat look beemers are in my opinion, works of art and are genius. The E9 car art cars of the 70s were rubbished by all art haters years ago, but now they are worth telephone number price tags. So in 20 or so years, will the works of art stance cars and rat look bmws be viewed the same????

Hope so.

The Art Cars will endure and grow in value, for me at least, I hope the same is not true for the stance and rat rod abominations. I saw today another Stanceworks car, e12 or e28, even lower than the Bav. Lots of inspiration, engineering and effort, absolutely. I just don't think the end results justifies the means. Just me perhaps, I know, but I subscribe to "form follows function."

It's different and he's a kid having fun. obviously with his videos and pictures, he's enjoying it. why pick on him?

There are some beautiful cars on this site, but there are also those that are built in poor taste. But it seems like these "traditional" mishaps are given a hall pass.

"welded chain steering wheel, dingle balls and a fuzzy mirror"... c'mon he put [adjustable] air bags on it.
