This is a thinly veiled excuse for not working on my E9, and a competing thread to: http://www.e9coupe.com/forum/showthread.php?t=17735]What did you do to your E9 Today
So rather than work on my E9 after purchase, this is what I've done over the past 6 weekends.
I'm not really into posting pictures of my house, but post away if you wish! I like home improvement more than automotive work. I have a long list of things to do that will undoubtedly get in the way of any BMW work, so I'll post them here.
So rather than work on my E9 after purchase, this is what I've done over the past 6 weekends.
- Using rocks from my ridiculously rocky glacial till soil, I built a 50' dry creek bed. The largest rocks were well over 100lbs, the smallest were smaller than a golf ball. I ran a new water service line in December, and saved the larger rocks from the project for this.
- Power washed the back patio - as my 2800 badge indicates things like to get mossy here
- Installed drip irrigation in 3 raised garden beds. Ran 200' of 3/4" poly to the beds and another 150' of funny pipe. Should save an hour a day of watering this summer! I was too cheap to rent a $150 trencher for the short 50' run, so I used my Sawzall to cut the sod and trenched it by hand. It worked remarkably well, with exception to the whole glacial till thing, and the blisters on my hand
