Fitting my lower console and something designated as a retainer shaft - Item 7 on diagram 62/2 - part number 62121358554 is hanging from the back of my speedo. What is it for and where is it meant to go please?

Got it sorted. Just about all the information on the odometer reset is pertinent to LHD where there is a special mini glove box that hides the position for the knob. Not so for RHD. We don't get no special mini glove box, we have to make a hole in the console. Mine was there next to the window trip reset buttons but someone had gunked it over with something so I couldn't see it. Another one of those hours long, time consuming frustrations over a teeny weeny issue where my gord begins to rise and expletives assume positions in my throat ready to issue forth.
Next - does anyone have a spare odometer reset knob?

FYI- When you find a knob you will also need a tiny threaded set screw that secures it to the cable. Hopefully it comes with your knob.
