Looks like the rubber block that goes in the door jamb for the lock mechanism.

Seriously thought, having pulled down a couple of E9s I don't recognise it.
Perhaps it's like that scene in Ford vs Ferarri where Shelby throws some nuts in the Ferrari pit when nobody's looking?

I don't recognize it....but my car is an automatic, so it may be different.

Whenever somebody says you cannot fit a round peg in a square hole I show them that adapter.
I have't seen that on my CSi.
How big is this thing? After looking at
the concrete it looks quite large. Also it
isn’t flat.

this was driving me crazy .... since I have been working on my car , I find strange things under the car ...
At the end of a project there are often a few unrecognizable bits left over 8-}
Just in point.
I found dried rat behind a speaker on the driver side foot well in my E30.
I wish I could have find a picture of it I have had made that time! Lost no found.
It is good anyhow if the foundings are not related to the car. It could always be a non return valve from engine head or tiny seal from the oil pump.
Wish to All only such findings as Farzad had!
