What Parking lifts are you using?

Hi guys
I am looking to make my garage bigger .
I could build on ,but I don’t want it to look too big behind my house so I am considering buying a parking lift to maximise my existing building, although I might have to increase its roof height a bit.

I am in Ireland, so I’m probably looking for advice from our European members maybe.
Could anyone recommend a good lift ?
I don’t have a lot of space so I can’t get something that is too big and I would prefer to go with a 4 poster as I don’t think I’d trust parking my e9 under a loaded 2 post lift .
Thanks in advance for any advice

Not in the UK, but a 4 post lift is a nice addition if you have the height. I used to regularly use a 4 post lift to work on my cars in the maintenance shop at my work. Having front and back lifting bridges allows you to raise the suspension off the ramps and is very helpful for suspension and brake work.

Also - I am not in Ireland (or Europe for that matter) but I do have experience with both 2 post 'workshop' lifts and a 4 post 'storage' lift in my garage/shop. While I do appreciate the utility of the 2 post lift for actually working on cars, I do not ever store one on it.... I have my Mustang currently on my 4 post with my E9 underneath. The 4 post (where you drive on two ramps) and then lift is much more stable IMO over whatever ills may happen with the car 6' up in the air.
FYI - As I am on the west coast of the US, I am in an earthquake area and... enough said... :)

For something that has a smaller footprint - there are single post car storage lifts that are available (see example here). They kind of combine the utility of the 4 post (drive on style) with the form factor of a 2 post (but only have the post on one side). I don't have any experience with one of those - nor do I know anyone who has, but that may be something to consider... These bolt down to the concrete floor similar to what the 2-post ones do while my 4-post one just sits on the shop floor and can move around (while empty) should I choose to to relocate it.

Good luck -
