What radio for 72 csl?

RRichardson,

If your CSL is a 72' car, it could be a pretty early injection one. I think I have the BMW original options list/brochures - including all the Radios that BMW offered at the time.

If you could provide the VIN of your car (2275xxx), I can list all the "correct" BMW radios at that year and month for your car.

Cheers
Henric

I can vouch for the retrosoundradio. The ipod & blue tooth hands free works great thru the cars speakers and...it looks nearly period correct.

Truthfully though, I simply don't use these features enough & it looks like I'll be moving to
a refurbed Becker Europa 2 from BeckerAutoSound since I've not been able to score anything from Ebay.

It's not cheap, but they seem to do a good job resurrecting their radios.

'It's been installed in my coupe ever since. It's nice because it's the later stereo model that supports 4 speakers. Thanks Shanon.'

Glad to here it John.

Ya know, if ya ever decide to go in a different 'sonic direction', let me know. ;-)

I recently bought the ipod input from Beckerautosound for my Becker which connects to the DIN jack on the back. Sounds surprisingly good through the 4 speakers, much better than FM. Shielded audio and USB charge cords are needed to keep rf interference at bay, cheapo ones are noisy. But most of the time it's engine sounds that I go for.
