Just looking at the original fitment and what I can see is the factory fitted Michelin XWX 195/70 to the CSLs but they are no longer made that size the nearest is 205…
Looking at the web site there are 2 that will do bit they have different Outside diameter, does anyone one know the right one?? or the outside diameter of the 195s..... or am i getting a bit to picky..

Dimension Outside diameter
205 VR 14 686

205/70 VR 14 644

Hi - I have, even been on the classic Michelin site
http://www.michelinclassic.com/en/Classic-Tyre-range
The question I was looking to find out was what the car should have in relation to the diameter of the tyre.
This is from the BMW Registry...

“All 3.0 CSL models are fitted with Alpina 7x14-inch alloy wheels wearing 195/70VR14 tires (originally Michelin XWX).”
The only XWX tyres now are 205s, not 195s…
They make 2 different types and they have different diameters.
One is 644mm and the other is 686mm, what I was getting at, does anyone know the diameter of the original 195/70s so I can get the right 205s, so that the speedo will read correct and look right in the wheel arch.
