Guys, I've scored myself a set of 17" BBS Style 5 rims which I plan to refurbish and includes polishing the lips . I don't want to do clear coat/lacquer on the lips as this seems to dull the polished look over time . The company that is supplying the bolt hardware suggested Poorboys Wheel Sealant . Car is only a weekend type driver as weather permits .

So, anyone have recommendations as to success with other products ?..some online comments suggest Poorboys is over-hyped while others swear by it . Feedback would be appreciated . Cheers, Simon

If you aren't driving it much, I wouldn't worry about sealing/clear coating them. A quick polish with something like Mother's Metal Polish or White Diamonds should be sufficient to keep them looking good. Hit the polish part with some glass cleaner in between washes to keep the brake dust to a minimum and you should be good.
