thought it went to gauges but

It does look likeone of the nuts that holds the individual gauges and clock to the gauge assembly. I hope that it's an extra, because if it's missing your clock might fall into the "abyss" when you go over a bump.

yea but the clock is held by the simple finger nuts w/ a 6mm head
this has threades inside and a small center hole
im really baffled.
