Which is correct

Hi asking some advice as to which is correct for the 2800cs or closest to original - posted pics one is threaded- one is plastic rear post but raised letters roundel
Threaded one is original from at least 1979- my possession - other one from unknown -install or why but likely around 82 when painted and other lost or removed in shop and “misplaced”

the one on the left is correct for the 2800cs. @HB Chris 's FAQ on e9 changes does not specify when the change was made - i suspect it was for MY 1974.

I "think" mine is orginal and mine has smooth metal post and raised letters. I am no expert but that is what is on my 1971 2800CS.

perhaps it was replaced to the newer style with raised letters when car was painted. please click on the link below and see Murray's history on the C pillar roundel

Roundel question - trivia

The front and back roundels were originally raised letters - correct? When did BMW move to the smooth surface roundels? Were the C pillar roundels ever raised letter? Thanks.
