I'm looking at these wheels and they come in 6 and 7 inch. I'll be running 195/60R15 tires.

i don't know what size the 2000cs used as stock tires.
according to tirerack.com, a 195/60-15 can use a wheel width of 5.5" to 7" depending on who makes the tires. most tires that size say that the measured rim width is 6".
the tire diameter of the 195/60-15 is 24.2" the stock 185/70-14 is 24.7"

All things being equal, as long as they fit 7" should be better, correct? I just want to make sure they'll work. The website I found said 5.5-7.7 width, but who knows, it might be AI slop: https://tiresizeguide.com/195-60r15-in-inches/
The 6" and 7" are almost the same price BTW, $300 vs $305 and both are in stock.

A 60 series tire just will not look right. My 2000 has the 14x6 wheel with 195/70-14 and clearance to fender is tight and it will rub on inner fender at full lock. Hope you have power steering, I do not.

That tire is wider than mine and mine rub on the inner fender. No power steering makes parking a pain and narrower tires are so much more nimble. YMMV

What I'm reading says they're both 7.7" wide, which makes sense they're both 195s, and yours (195 70R 14) is 24.7" diameter vs 24.2" for the 195 60R 15.

It’s not the diameter, it is the width, 195 vs. 205 is 10mm or almost 1/2 inch wider. Maybe it won’t be an issue. The Maxilite wheels have a step on the outer rim and the spokes have sharper squared edges unlike real Alpinas.

IMHO, the wider wheel doesn't make it better with a 195/60 tire. personally i'm not a huge fan of the maxilite alpina style wheels
i just realized that i typed 185/70-14 for the stock 2000cs tire size. wasn't it 185/70-13 or 165-13? if so, wouldn't the diameter of 195/50-15 be correct diameter. i have to agree with Chris on the turning ability - on my 2002, with no power steering, the 195/50-15 and they were a pain to park.
