For many years I have been thinking of a way to cover up the extra shine/general grit in the center of my window blank and finally chose to do something about it.
I decide on 3D blanks & opted for a high-quality (soft black) finish to try and match other interior features. You can see the results below and my thoughts are as follows:
1) Fitment is good -- (pressure fit) although one can use double sided tape if needed
2) The flat black is a close match to vinyl but not as shiny as the power window switch center
3) If the center was shinier I am not sure it would match or even look good -- sometimes contrast is a good thing.
Overall I am very pleased with the results -- now there is less chrome to look at in the console + any dirt/imperfections have completely disappeared.
