Window switches, Prong type 5 for $230

they are 61 euro new from w+n (new type). so 5 new are 300 euro ... getbmwparts is 78 bucks each so that's around 400 bucks for 5 ... but that is a different part number 61311356006 - this was used on the e3 / e9 / e12

the part number listed on this auction is a lot cheaper - 49.03 each from getbmwparts ... according to realoem - only used on the e24. curious what the differences are

with the price difference, it would certainly be worth looking into if your coupe uses the newer type of switch
 
I cannot imagine that there is any difference in these 5-pronged switches. If you open then, they have two copper wings that tilt CW or CCW when you push/rock the switch to make a contact. There is nothing in there other than that. The prong switches are a lot more costly than the blade switches for some reason. I used MB part 0018215151 which is identical to 6006 and 44 bucks new with free shipping on Ebay.

I remain confused in that many BMW parts interchange with MB and Porsche yet BMW is more costly.
