Windshield wiper bolts help

Can anyone tell me what size the windscrren wiper pivot bolts are? I am talking about bolts that secure the splined rotating pivots that the wiper arms mount to. The bolts secure the splined pivots to the body under the wiper arms. The parts schematic say these are M8 but they measure out closer to 16mms. Paint shop took bolts off and lost them. Thanks...

Bolts and washers are M8 (13mm wrench size) and the chrome nut is 22mm.

Is there a BMW part number for this 22mm chrome nut?

This might be the right number from Penske parts diagram

18 61618744121 HEX NUT0.02 2 $6.85

This is a different number than the 8mm nut that holds the wiper arm to the pivot, check it out

Has anyone here replaced the wiper pivot arms/spindles? Does it come with the splined cap to hold the wiper? What holds the splined cap on, I can't see any visible means of attachment and it looks like it has to come off.

Answered my own question, thanks deQ.

I ended up inserting some washers behind the spring clip to push it against the barrel, it won't go flying off now.

Chrome Nuts are still available

I found the chrome nuts that hold the wiper shaft s down are still available at dealer part number - 61618744121

The rubber waher and steel cap washer are not available but reasonable facsimiles can be sourced at any hardware store...
