Hi All,

Last wiper question from me, once this is sorted I'm done, Thanks in advance for any help.

my question is...

with the wipers turned of and the motor in its park / rest position, what angle / position does the little arm of the mechanism bolt onto the motor spindle?

I guess an "O'Clock" description would be good, 12, 3, 6, etc etc

Thanks

Steve

The 2 o’clock position is correct but the key thing is the short lever has to be perfectly parallel to the actuation linkage that runs up to the wiper pivot when the motor stops. That way when the wiper motor stops the linkage is at its absolute longest and then you mount your wipers at their low landing position. If it stops and the lever isn’t parallel to the actuation rod the blades will sweep slightly lower than their landing position and possibly damage something. Power disconnect

A piece of advice from a painful experience: undo the battery earth cable or the contact by the wiper motor...I have done this many times on my car, and once I managed to squeeze my right hand between the arm and the black cover plate of the fan.
Agree on the 2 o`clock and parallell arms. After that, mount the wiper arms. A bit of trial and error in my experience.
