Wiper Stalk Switch

Hi All

My wiper stalk works, however I need to use a screw driver to push the switch in to make the wipers work. The end piece is missing.

Do I need the full stalk or can I swap the end piece or even the arm (I have got one that does not operate but has the parts I need on it).

I have repaired few wiper stalks recently too.
From your description, I assume the switch mechanism is still functioning (inside the end of the stalk).
I am sure you can then just take the cap off the end of your spare stalk and use it on your current stalk.
There should also be a spring and a small white part that flicks the
switch that you will need to transfer.

I hope this makes sense.

I just ordered new switches from la jolla. I'm not sure if there is any value but you can have my duds if you think any of the parts might be useful.
 
switch doesn't work my car is 1971 and the switch is much later and fits on other side of wheel I think.

Anyone know how I can deal with the missing switch at the end of the stalk??? without going to expense of buying the full stalk which is extortionate.
