About 20 years ago when I restored my 73 3.0cs, I put in an oil pressure gage, and replaced the stock sensor with one that I wired to the gage.

Now I've got a new VDO gage and sensor, and the sensor has an additional lug to wire into the idiot light.

But I can't find the wire to hook up to it!!!!!#$%^(#$%^&*

So, where is that wire routed so I can find it, and is it Brown/Green (as I recall)?

thanks,

Jeff

As a note, the new gage and sensor solved my low oil pressure problem............ I guess it was asking too much of JCWhitney parts to last so long..............

Brown green.

The extra lug is just to wire in series back to the light.

If I understood correctly.:)

i can tell you that the wire that goes to the idiot light is a brown / green wire - it attaches to pin 3 (of the 9 pin connector behind the gauges), and as far as i can tell - its the only thing that attaches to pin 3.

i was testing all of the lights (with my gauges out of the dash) and i mapped where each of the wires feed to / receive from (with the help of the wiring diagram). i wouldn't trust where my sender is compared to your car - since mine has had an engine swap ...
