The mechanics are beginning to rebuild my 1970 2800CS after painting. They report the wiring harness is in very bad shape, crumbling in their hands etc. I have a complete wiring harness from a 1973 3.0 CSi, but I am not sure how compatible it is. What are the other options? Would it be better to find a 3.0CS harness?

The Autosparks shop in the UK was recommended in a couple of threads on this site, but I got the following message from Tony Holland:

I imagine the CSi harness will have a few extra wires, but I would think 90% would work. I would try it.

I would shave the sidemarkers anyways as the CSi harness may not have wires for those lights.

Maybe this works? But I'm not sure..

Sebs,

I think Chris is looking for a complete body wire harness front to back, meaning from the rear tail lights to the front engine and the corresponding wires in between. Including the window regulator wires, the side marker wires f+r, all the way from the rear tail lights to the front of the car.

Ups ok, sorry.
Thank you

Thanks all. It looks like AJay has what I need.

As to using the 1973 harness, I think the only wiring you would be missing is the wiring for the automatic choke. If you don't have the stock carbs (and/or th stock engine), or if you are like me and don't use a choke mechanism at all, you won't miss these.

And I would be interested in the crumbling harness you do not plan to use, if you want to sell it.
