I'm looking to buy the interior parts, evap, faceplate, switches, side console panels and vent, airbox, basically all the interior part for an e9 a/c install.
The e3 console is much taller though
Jim john,
A member recently had a factory face plate listed. Also Koopman had one that was in fair shape. They tend to have mangled radio openings.
I can reproduce the factory face plate and console vents, and I have spare a spare fan/temp switch. I also know a member on here that may have some spare console sides that need new upholstery. Your best bet is to find someone parting a car.
My face plate is ~$220
The sides are: ~$150 for 2
Custom cut Radio opening: ~$50
I don't have pricing on the switches, I need to research. I also have two e3 consoles, which "kind of" for even though they are quite different.
A used squirrel cage will be $200+ and can easily go for more.
The ducting is AC specific and the part is prone to warping/cracking.
I have measurements on the AC hard lines in my deconstruction thread (see donor link in my dig).
Are you talking console or the A/C faceplate?
The consoles side pieces, if Markos has the 3d printed faceplate and vents I will still need the actual sides the vents mount on which are very different to the non a/c ones I have,
Yeah they are quite different. I'll check with one of the member here. He has a lot of parts but doesn't list much.
Note that the 3D printed side grilles need to be painted. They don't have the original elephant skin texture. I use truck bed spray. The AC face was painted from the factory so the reproduction fits the bill.
i probably have a set of console sides in reasonable, but not perfect shape. there is always some form of drama / trauma to console sides.
Real OEM shows the evaporator common to E3 for sure, but also E21. Still many of them languishing inside parts cars. Good luck! Those parts would solve most of the problems, I think the e3 evap is the same and probably fairly easy to get hold of, so it only the console side panels and the air ducting that seems to be a little more illusive.
Thanks, unfortunately that was the last one he hadCheck with deQ. I bought a NOS evap and a console from him, at the time he had another to sell.
Where does he get that stuff?
Thanks Chris Ohmes, for helping me out, sorted!
send me a PM ..I have most of the interior A/C parts and they sre OEM .. (not 3D or replica parts )Thanks, unfortunately that was the last one he had![]()
