Long shot, but looking for the metal strip that camps down the front side of the a-pillar under the windshield and holds that edge of the trim. I have one side, just not the other.

you might want to post a picture of what you have / what you need. that will help people understand what you are looking for

The metal strip that camps is not original and doesn't belong in the coupe.
Presumably an installation aid.
The vinyl for the A-pillar, headliner, and C-pillar are glued directly to the sheet metal.
So it does seem unnecessary, but there is also the strip across the top, and for each strip, they are riveted in to existing holes the car had. This is the same I have seen on other coupes, and one headliner guide (which I am struggling to find) that talked about how to remove and reuse them. I have seen plenty restoration threads that appear to leave these out, but aiming for originality wherever I can.

Near as I can tell these were never a thing for the rear, only the front.

All US BMWs had this as we got the safety glass that is thicker and the rubber seal is also unique, one of the reasons there are multiple seal part numbers. Even the e3 and 2002 here have these. It is not needed, I removed them on my e3 but now wish I had left them, it grips the US seal better.

Wow, great info!

Still seems like a longshot that anyone has one sitting around, but if they do, I am still looking. They are pretty simply and could make one with the right tools, unfortunately, I do not have the right tools
