WTB An Original Bavaria

I have decided to keep my Bavaria. Although I am not fond of the 1992 B35 motor and automatic transmission, I am crazy in love with the rest of the car. It is in overall very good condition paint, interior, trunk and undercarriage. I also made the fatal mistake of going through the receipts. Of course I have put more money into it than I realized. What a surprise. But going over the receipts I realize it is an excellent investment in the pleasure I derive from driving and maintaining my Agave beauty.

I have an original 3 speed auto that was a factory reman purchased from a BMW dealer in Ct in 1990. It only has 6000 miles on it since. My car is going up to Mario pretty soon for a rebuilt ZF HP22 4 speed swap with a standalone ECU as part of my effort to see how good an automatic can be. I look at it as an experiment. If I don't like it a 5 speed is in my future. I am happy to give you the 3HP if it helps you.
 
Thanks, Rudy, I have decided to keep my Bavaria. Everything but the '92 motor is stock original and in very good condition. I will live with the engine making some mods to dress it up a bit. New different valve cover. Overflow tank stripped of black paint to reveal the original brass. And a few other changes.

I have driven three speed and the four speed automatics. You will like the four speed. A tougher transmission with tighter shifts.
 
The compushift ECU is brilliant. It allows you to set every shift point, how hard or soft you want the shift and when to have the torque converter lock up. Can also have two totally different shift programs so can have a touring mode and a sport shift program. I am excited to try it. It's a huge advance from a mechanical box.
