Happy Friday everyone! I am looking for some guidance and suggestions. During my 1984 535i M30B35 engine / 5 sp Getrag conversion to my 73 CSA - my entire original Accelerator Linkage from the engine to pedal was lost.:( My mechanic is now looking for a replacement linkage for the coupe. Does anyone have a spare coupe accelerator linkage for sell. Also, since I am trying to run motronic 1.3 in this set up are there any other good options instead of the linkage, like a Bowden Cable? I read several old post about Pierce Manifolds in Gilroy California.

Thank you in advance.

The original horizontal rod is 35411107644 but it is NLA. It was also used on e24 and e12 through 1981. 35 41 1 135 575 was the new superseded part number.

That looks like a simple rod, perhaps 4 or 5 mm dia, where you can cut a thread in each end, add available fittings and snap in place. I did this to replace part number 15, in the above diagram, not identified in the parts list, but mine had developed some play as the 2 smaller rods entered the barrel in the centre. Replaced with a rod and threaded the ends to fit the "eyes" . You just need dimensions, easier than an original linkage rod, but you may still be lucky, early yet! ;)

Pretty much all linkages are based on 5mm rod, doesn't matter what make of car. All the ballends are 8mm thread and you can get both L & R ball ends, L & R jam nuts, 5mm rod ( steel or aluminum ) and a L & R 8mm die and you will never want for a linkage again easy to make and fun to do. then you can get real crazy and plate them afterwards

Thanks, Rick

I hope this is what you need? I

I do not have the parts for sale, but I think you need to specify the parts you need, as a few separate parts are involved:

a comprehensive pic of a set for a automatic model is this:

the automatic uses the 'Z'- shaped bracket, an injection model uses the "L"- shaped bracket.

The rods (including # 35411107644) aren't complicated. In essence they could be replaced by a section of M5 threaded material.
I have non to sell, but i do have them apart to be freshly zinced, so I could measure them up for you:

- The horizontal rod is 290 mm end to end; it threaded sections reach 26 mm from both ends. Original shape is made with a 6 mm rod with the ends cut to an M5 thread
- The vertical rod is 250 mm end to end; it's threaded sections reach 20 mm from both ends. Orignal shape is a 5mm rod with a thread again being M5. (but mine is a bit bend, so making a bit thicker wouldn't be a bad idea. )

Happy to help.

I have the two ball cups that are on a shorter rod that you can have. All you need to do is get a threaded rod the length you need and connect the two cups to it.

Koopman, I will take them. That makes things so much easier especially since I was having problems navigating to the proper sections. I will inbox you so we can discuss shipping. I need the parts here soon.

-Thanks again for the help.
