I am looking for a small glass or plastic ornament that looks like our coupes to hang on our tree.Realistically I doubt there will be much available so maybe I should consider attaching a small bit of wire to some iconic coupe specific part like a fender grill or the pillar roundel and hang that.It would be an inside joke that only fellow coupesters would appreciate.

How about one of those Matchbox car coupes I always see on ebay and glue a hook on it.

That was my thought too - just find a small model of a coupe, add a hook, and voilia! However, I have to say that the Matchbox rendition of the e9 is the equivalent of getting coal in your stocking! Man that thing is ugly. The thick windshield pillar and addition of a pillar behind the front door glass just completely destroys the delicate lines of the e9.

+1 That thing is so ugly it hurts my eyes . ~ John Buchtenkirch

The Busch model costs 30X as much as the Matchbox, but it captures the beauty of the e9 a whole lot better.

Using a roundel is a good idea too. A screwdriver + a walk around any upscale neighborhood should net you enough "ornaments" for a good-sized tree. ;)

For glass you could get Kasbatt's Turkish windshield that did not fit.

If you seek smaller ornaments I can send your way:
- Old window switches.
- Brake pedal assembly removed form my automatic, pristine condition (I never use brakes).
- Window motor gearbox.
- Gear indicator, you can insert the tree's blinking lights in its gear indicators.
- US Sealed beams, poor illumination for driving but plenty of light for a tree.
- Fasten your seat belts buzzer.

but the real insider ornament for a tree would be a Red Handle Screwdriver.

Arde, I like the gear indicator light idea!Got your red and green.Very festive. While your other suggestions are also appreciated I think I would need a bigger tree!We can't get giant redwoods here on the East coast like you guys on the West.

I just found it in my garage, do you want it? Give me a shipping address, I do not trust Santa for delivering in time.
