I had a very decent windshield with a small chip in it. But my spirited test drives with Tesla power have expanded that chip across the full width. I never saw it coming, and over the weekend we showed up and it was there. I am not YET interested in a new or perfect unit. I was wondering if there might be a decent one in So Cal that would get me back where I thought I was a week ago:)

Shipping is a bitch.
 
Are you installing or having installed?
Installation can be very expensive ... 2 times, 3 times...
 
Thanks all! I'm pretty good at getting them in myself. Not a pro, but I know all the tricks and I've had mine in and out a couple of times already. Should have had that chip repaired though to prevent this crack. But it's totally on par with not a single thing on this car being worth using:)

I'd go with a new one.
There may be regulations where you live requiring the installation of a new laminated screen if the old one is coming out.
That's the case here anyway.
