Our 73 2002 doors use a short plunger and e9 uses 4 of the longer plunger switch which measures 16 to 17 mm.

Here’s what I have. It measures 16mm. I notice in your photo the rod is round, the one I have is flat at top and bottom. Shouldn’t make a difference. I checked my 2002, e9 and NK and none use this long switch anywhere. I think it came with a stash of parts I got with an e3 years ago.
