WTB: e24 Rubber Spoiler?

That is the factory m-tech one. Is that what you are looking for? There is an all rubber ducktail as well.

See photos. This is the e24 I'm considering for $1,000. The M90 and Getrag 265 are high mileage though.

I'm just trying to hit $500 in total cost. A spoiler. Puts me.at $800. I figure the front euro bumper is another $100 or $200. The bbs Mahles can fetch up to $400, figure $150 for these ones.

That m-tech came stock on my 86 635, quite handsome. Don't forget it is color matched.

I need to go to San Diego to take care of a rental property in July-- Called the guy on CL and see if we can make a deal. However, the non- M-tech bumper may suit my needs better. Bob- does the m-tech need to be painted body color on the non-rubberized part? Markos, I'd be down for your price if you buy the car. Greg

Thanks Greg. Will keep you posted!

Regarding the M-Tech one, yeah you would need to color match the non-rubber part. Honestly you could buy a can of primer and a can of touch up paint and give it a go.

The non-rubber part is color matched. Agree, you could match and do it yourself.

The Mtech one would be my first choice. It's a sharp looking spoiler. The all rubber one is more retro.

There were 3 style of rear spoilers for the E24.

The first as shown on the craigslist ad car that is for sale, large solid rubber with a huge back surface.
Second is the Euro M635CSi style
Third is the latter M6 style, like the M5 with a fiberglass filler panel on top.

I have one of the early first style available for $100. plus shipping and one of the second style available, brand new NLA NOS piece from a Euro M635CSi.

no part out for me. Work craziness will now prevent that from happening. Looks like you have some great options. I'd go with the mtech for sure.

Pictures of spoilers....
One is brand new, in the bag, never unpacked BMW part number: 51 71 1 879 597. This part is NLA and BMW has zero stock worldwide.
I also found a used one of the same style in good condition.

The large one is the early style, BMW part number 51 71 1 879 057
also NLA

Each of the used spoilers have one rusty mounting point. These can be easily replicated, or better yet, eliminated as these can be securely mounted with contemporary body trim tape.
