I know this probably isn’t the place to ask. However, afflicted birds of a feather flock together. I’m looking for useable grills for my 72 2002 tii project car. They don’t have to be perfect by any standard, just usable. The car is a basket case that I had to save. To put it into perspective, it cost me $100 to liberate it from what was going to be it’s grave. Any help is appreciated. Thanks, Mark

Unfortunately, I don’t have any in the car at all. Here are a few of what doesn’t exist. It’s a 1972 roundie 2002 tii.

A power wash really made a difference but it has a long long way to go

I have a set of deep dish grilles that should work. I will send photos. If interested I can swap for some of the 2000CS Parts you have.

I wasn’t aware of different grills on the early cars. However, this is my first hands on experience with the 2002. Does one not fit with sealed beams. Something new to look up this evening. Thanks is for the info.

Koopman, swapping for 2000 cs stuff is fine with me.

There are two styles, deep dish or shallow dish. I will try to get photos to you today.
Thanks Again.

Here are some pics. I’d love to get one of these books for my coupe as well as my e24/28 cars.

I have a brand new book for an E12 if you can use that.
Did you see the photos of the 2002 early grilles?
How much for the manual? Also the radio?
Thanks

I didn’t see the images of the grills, they didn’t come through. I’ll check on the radio- I forgot to look the other day. Does your e12 book cover the M535i of 1978/1979? I’d rather have grills than this book

Andrew, Thanks for the heads up,

Chris, their condition is probably in line with the $100 car I bought. The original block was upside down in the engine bay. The head was in the trunk. Sadly the car has little rust but where they took the trunk lid off and it filled up with leaves that made an amazing black soil mulch-perfect for growing saplings. I have a 320is parts car that I bought in anticipation of getting a 2002. I had to take the “best” trunk lid and hood from a car in far far worse condition. Along with the air conditioning systems and other parts. Aside from the trunk it’s remarkably rust free in all the right places.

It’s going to be along fun road. I’m going to need to get over to the 2002 faq site for some help. Here are some pics of how/when I found her. I couldn’t resist.

Hello Mark,
Congrats on your purchase.
I have a spare set without the black slats.
Feel free to send me a message if you can't find anything.
