WTB: Electric Window Switch Connectors

Mercedes was using both types.

Here's the picture from one of the shop selling old Mercedes parts but I'm not MB-focused to tell which were used in exact models and years of manufacturing.

The connectors are modular which means the pins and sockets are the same so for the female connectors can be added as long the package holding the pins is having holes in 5 places.

The source of these are for example multi-pin connectors or sockets:

Pins as Kostal standard can be used separately (just with heat shrinking tubes) or on the 3D printed housings with no problems.

Some may notice the same standard is used for the torch connection in some E9s.

These are commonly used in BOSCH equipment in BMW ABS units till the middle of 90's (XX century), so acquiring the terminals/pins is not a challenge.

Mercedes will not work as it has only four pins. View attachment 155697

Do you have the part number for the connector housing?

Haven't done it to mine but some recommend using relay - avoiding heavy loads in switch wiring and increasing contact life.
There is a write-up somewhere in the files. That should allow 4 pin switches to work if that's an issue.
Wurth has 3.5mm connectors - not same style, but a bit of creativity and soldering wires at 90 degrees instead of straight-in crimping..?

For sure it has a number but I wasn't able to find it in MB catalogs.

Housing itself has Kostal Part Number - 9685 but it seems noone is using them for part selection/sale.

One step further Mercedes was using different type with backside illumination (additional contact on shorter edge).
In my humble opinion it should fit older switches, just to skip additional pin.
MB part number visible.
